Sandra Rodriguez Nieto will make her way to Northridge

Author of “Fábrica del Crimen”, Sandra Rodriguez Nieto will make an appearance at California State University, Northridge, on November 15th.

One of the few writers and reporters to cover on the violence in Juarez, Sandra, is successful in giving the reader an insight as to what Juarez was from the late 1990s to now.

This week I completed the 200 page read (which is in Spanish). Besides it being a book with history, detail, and horror, through Sandra’s words, one can visualize the tragedy Juarez residents have experienced throughout the years.

I recommend the book to all that are interested in learning about the violence and politics in Mexico, as well as to any who are simply looking for a book to read, in spanish.

Once the date approaches, I will be sure to ask Sandra Rodriguez Nieto more on her experience as a Journalist in mexico, and her experience in writing “Fábrica del Crimen” during one of the most horrific drug wars to take place. Stay tuned, as I will be sharing her words via audio or video on my blog.Image

  1. Wow. Good for her. The fact that she is one of the few writers on this subject really goes to show the impact these drugs wars have had on something so fundamental as freedom of speech. I would like to read her book. But for now, I’ll stay tuned for you’re updates 🙂
